Saturday September 25th

To close out the month of September, Magnums will host Live music, from local legend, and blues artist Carvin Jones. We also will have Illusione Cigar specials, and Corrido Tequila. All this on Saturday September 25, the tequila, and cigar portion of the event will start at 7:30pm and the first set of music will start at 8:30pm. Cody King will continue to exclusively serve his ever growing selection of sonoran style of food, he will start serving around 5:00pm.

Carvin Jones was born in Lufkin, Texas. At a very young age, he was seduced to the blues by listening to BB King records his grandfather constantly played in the house. He pursued his passion of blues and created the Carvin Jones Band in 1991. Being recognized by some of the greatest legends in music, such as Eric Clapton, and Buddy Miles; this will be an event you can not miss.

Illusione Cigars was created to bring back the classic Nicaraguan flavor. Using only the choicest Corojo and Criollo tobaccos, this brings out a deep rich characteristic that is virtually unmatched. These are some of the most popular cigars in Magnums. The deals will be Buy 3 get 1 free, or buy 5 get 2 free

Corrido tequila is a relative new comer to Arizona, but is welcomed with open arms. The aging processes for these tequilas is different from most. The common practice in the spirit world is to age by year, while Corrido ages to taste. This unique and fantastic undertaking is what makes Corrido tequila so amazing.

We look forward to seeing you here. Seating will be limited so RSVP today. Any questions or to RSVP contact us at (602) 493 – 8977.

Willett Bourbon Event, With Special Guest

Hunter Chavanne, the National Sales Manager from Willett Bourbon. We have paired the Joya de Nicaragua Antano to compliment this fantastic bourbon. We would like everyone to be seated for the whiskey portion of the evening at 7:00pm and will end around 9:00pm, and the cigar portion of the evening will start around 6:30pm and end around 8:30pm. We will be accepting RSVP’s for this event.

The Willett has been distilling since before the Civil War, but the the bourbon you know today started back in 1935. In fact the first batch was barreled on March 17, 1936, a batch of only 300 bushels(30 barrels). The process that makes this bourbon so unique is the use of pot stills to distill this “water of life”. Pots still are famously used in Ireland to create the creamy aspect of Irish whisky.

Willett Bourbon is now a part of the family for whiskeys under Kentucky Bourbon LTD. This includes Noah’s Mill, Vintage Bourbons, Black Maple Hill, and many more. We will be tasting through a selection from this large family of American Whiskeys.

Joya de Nicaragua has pioneered the first Nicaraguan cigars, priding themselves with creating some of the most powerful yet rich in complexity. We just received the Dark Corojo Antano, a deep rich Corojo wrapper, that smokes like a spicy chocolate bar. We will have Joya de Nicaragua at buy 3 get 1 free, or buy 5 get 2 free.

Seating is very limited for this event so RSVP early. Contact us at (602) 493-8977

Cody King will also be back making his famous Tacos and Pizzas, he will start serving dinner around 6:00pm.

We will kick it off with the King Gypsy Caravan. Drawing their styling from blues, funk, and even classic R&B, they will entertain us throughout the night. The King Gypsy Caravan will start their first set around 8:30pm, and will be playing 2 sets. All Events start at 7:30pm

To complement the music we will have Makers Mark officially releasing the Makers Mark 46 at Magnums, with a glass dipping party. We also will have the new Makers Mark 46, from the limited first batch, available in the bar, and for sale on the retail side.

One of the most elite cigars made by Alec Bradley, these cigars are only made by the top 20% of the rollers in the Raices Cubana factory, in Honduras. We will have special deals such as; buy 3 get one free, or buy 5 get 2 free.

Koningshoeven founded in 1884 within the walls of the abbey Onze Lieve Vrouw van Koningshoeven. It is the only producer of Trappist Beeroutside of Belgium. As with all other Trappist breweries, the brewery only exists in order to finance the monastery, not for profit or any other commercial reason.

Originally the brewery was called De Schaapskooi, and this name is still used casually especially around the region. We will taste their: Quadrupel, Triple, Dubbel.

Saturday’s Beer and Wine Tasting

This Saturday, July 17th, starting at 7:30 and ending around 9:00, we will taste through some fantastic beers and some amazing wines. We will have Diamondback Distributing here introducing a couple beers from Wasatch brewing, Squatters brewing, as well as Costa De Oro wines.

Established in 1986 Wasatch Brewery is the first brewery in Park City, Utah, since prohibition, they has established its self as a primer brewery on a national level. We are tasting :

Polygamy Porter – This dark, medium bodied ale offers the drink-ability of a much lighter beer. The inviting chocolate and malty flavors fade into a slightly dry, silky smooth finish. Why have just one? 4.0% alcohol by volume. • 2008 Silver Medal Winner, Brown Porter, North American Brewers’ Association • 2008 Silver Medal Winner, Brown Porter, World Beer Cup • 2006 Silver Medal Winner, Brown Porter, North American Brewers’ Association

Devastator Dopple Bock – This is a strong, amber lager (8% abv). It has a fluffy white head with a bready malt aroma and a rich body that leaves you with a warming feeling. This Double Bock style dates back over a century when Monastic brewers knew it as “liquid bread.” Beware . . . it’s deceivingly smooth and delicious.

As Squatters grew we embraced the Triple Bottom Line philosophy of People Planet Profit. We source healthy ingredients and use environmentally friendly products and services from within our local eco-region. We will taste:

Hop Rising – Big hop, big malt, big beer. One of the most aggressive beers ever released in Utah, Hop Rising a double India Pale Ale, clocks in at 85 IBU’s and 9% alcohol. We use three different malts to create enough flavor to perfectly balance three varieties of hops, then, because we can’t help ourselves, we dry-hop it; resulting in an amazing two pounds of hops per barrel! The combination of robust malty flavors and huge hop bitterness provide a well-balanced beer; a hop lover’s dream

Our mission is to produce the finest wines from the Central Coast using the artistry of Old-World winemaking styles and New-World grape growing practices. Our Gold Coast Vineyard, located in the Santa Maria Valley of Santa Barbara County, is the home for our Estate Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays. We have carefully selected several Central Coast vineyards to source additional grapes for our label. Winemaker Gary Burk produces wines of balance, harmony and complexity for you to drink and enjoy!

July 21st Red Carpet Cigar Event

This Wednesday, July 21 we are having a Diamond Crown Red Carpet Event. We will have Micheal from Diamond Crown here with cigars, give aways, and and a winning personality. We will kick this off at 7:30pm, with a Mocambo Rum tasting. We will have special pricing on the Diamond Crown Natural, and Maximus. The cigar event will end around 9:00pm.

Created to celebrate J.C. Newman’s 100th anniversary, Diamond Crown cigars are a collaboration of Carlos Fuente and Stanford J. Newman. Making a cigar this complex requires a large variety of tobaccos, the blenders found a beautiful balance with 6 to 7 different tobaccos. Holding it all together is a true Connecticut Fermented Wrapper (CFW) , selected by Carlos Fuente himself. Thus making this cigar one of the finest made today, and personally one of my favorites.

Ten years later Mr. Newman Challenged Carlos Fuente to top his previous masterpiece. So this time Carlos teamed up with Oliva Cigars to sculpt his new masterpiece, the Diamond Crown Maximus. Filler and binder are sourced from specially aged Dominican tobaccos, and wrapped with Oliva’s rare El Bajo wrapper. The El Bajo Farm is placed right along the Rio Macul River, making this one of the most nutrient rich regions of Ecuador. The perfect soil and climate for a rich complex wrapper.

The rum portion of the event has been canceled.

This is an event I’ve been looking forward to for quite some time now. I hope to see you there.
